Both the Dallas Mavericks and the Toronto Raptors have fallen way short of expectations this season. The Mavericks are starting to heat up having won 10 of their last 13 games, although that hot streak is very misleading since all of those wins have come against bad teams on the road or mediocre teams at home.

Meanwhile, the Raptors can’t even say they are capable of that as they have now lost seven of their last nine games. The Raptors are 1-5 against the spread against Western Conference teams and are just 3-9 against the spread at home. Until you see more from them, they are not safe to bet on.
