Lakers host Sonics in matchup of teams on opposite ends

(My Sportsbook) - The Los Angeles Lakers open a two-game homestand when they welcome the woeful Seattle SuperSonics tonight to the Staples Center.

This is the fourth and final meeting of the campaign between the squads. The Lakers are 3-0 against Seattle this season and have captured five in a row overall in the series.

Seattle has also lost three straight and four of its last five at the Lakers.

The Lakers are a half-game ahead of the New Orleans Hornets for the top spot in the Western Conference playoff race. They own a one-game lead over second- place Phoenix in the Pacific Division.
