Inexperienced Purdue cruises past Baylor

Washington, DC (My Sportsbook) - Freshman E'Twaun Moore scored 16 points and pulled down eight rebounds, as a young, relatively inexperienced Purdue team used an efficient shooting performance to cruise past Baylor, 90-79, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament's West Regional.

Sophomore Keaton Grant had 17 points and freshman forward JaJuan Johnson went for 10 and eight rebounds as the sixth-seeded Boilermakers (25-8) shot 49.3 percent from the floor and 45 percent from three-point range en route to their second round-of-64 victory in two seasons.

Purdue, which has four freshmen regulars in its rotation, moves on to face third-seeded and senior-laden Xavier, a 73-61 winner over Georgia, in the second round on Saturday. The Boilers have now won 10 consecutive first-round matchups, and are 2-1 in the tournament under third-year head coach Matt Painter.
