Confrontation with GM leads to suspension for Astros' Chacon

The Houston Astros have suspended pitcher Shawn Chacon indefinitely for insubordination to the team, general manager Ed Wade announced on Wednesday.

"We have suspended Shawn Chacon, pending final resolution of whatever ruling we end up making," Wade said.

According to the Houston Chronicle, Chacon -- who recently lost his spot in Houston's starting rotation -- had a violent confrontation with Wade in the Astros clubhouse before Wednesday's game against the Texas Rangers and players had to step in to calm the situation.
