Royals bring Peralta back from minors

The Kansas City Royals recalled pitcher Joel Peralta from Triple-A Omaha on Monday to bolster their bullpen.

Peralta had been recalled once earlier this season, and in 18 appearances with the Royals posted a 5.64 earned run average, with 17 strikeouts and four walks in 22 1/3 innings.
