After snapping a five-game losing streak in the BetUS Sportsbook with Tuesday’s 3-1 series-opening victory - and following that up with a convincing 6-1 win on Wednesday, the Los Angeles Dodgers, (32-38, 29-41 RL) are looking to bag their first three-game winning streak since sweeping the Cincinnati Reds, (33-39, 28-43 RL)l from May 19-21.

While they’ve won three straight games, all is not well with the Dodgers as they have injuries along their pitching staff that has forced manager Joe Torre to improvise on the fly more often then he would prefer.

With staff ace Brad Penny on the disabled list, the Dodgers will hand the ball to left-hander Eric Stults, (1-4, 5.82 ERA in 2007) who will make his first start of the MLB season in this contest after getting the call-up from Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday to replace Penny t in the rotation.

The Dodgers shouldn’t get too encouraged as Stults was a mediocre 5-6 with a 3.59 ERA in 14 starts for his minor league team in Las Vegas.

"The fact that he has some big league experience means he won't be a duck out of water," Los Angeles manager Joe Torre said.

The Reds will counter by turning to veteran right-hander Aaron Harang (3-9, 4.10) who is coming off his best start of the season in his last outing when he limited the Boston Red Sox to one run on just four hits while striking out seven batters in seven innings of Cincinnati’s 3-1 win on Friday.

Penny was put on the disabled list on Tuesday because of shoulder problems while fellow starter Hiroki Kuroda is out with shoulder soreness.

Cincinnati has lost four straight games in the BetUS Sportsbook and 11 of their last 16 overall and have been without outfielder Ken Griffey Jr. the past two games.
