White Sox 1B Konerko placed on DL

The Chicago White Sox placed first baseman Paul Konerko on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday with a Grade 1 strain of his left oblique muscle. The move is retroactive to June 15. Konerko suffered the injury prior to Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Colorado Rockies, marking the first time the 11-year veteran has been placed on the DL. The 32-year old has struggled throughout the season, hitting .215 with eight homers and 30 RBI in 62 games. C
