Damon's sixth hit caps Yanks' comeback thriller over Royals

Johnny Damon capped a 6-for-6 day with a game- winning RBI single in the ninth inning, as the Yankees twice erased four-run deficits in a wild 12-11 win over the Kansas City Royals in the second of a four-game set. Damon drove in four for the Yankees, who have won three of four. Mariano Rivera (2-1) gave up a solo homer to David De***** in the top of the ninth, but took the win. Andy Pettitte was ripped for career-high 10 runs on 10 hits
