Ortiz heads to DL with wrist injury

The Boston Red Sox placed slugger David Ortiz on the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday, retroactive to June 1 with a wrist injury. Ortiz was officially diagnosed with a partial tear of the ECU tendon sheath in his left wrist, after undergoing an MRI on Sunday and an examination on Monday.
