Blues' general manager gets contract extension

St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced Thursday that the club has extended the contract of senior vice president and general manager Larry Pleau through the 2009-10 season.

Pleau became the 10th general manager in team history on June 9, 1997. Under his guidance, the Blues have posted a 387-333-100 record and captured the President's Trophy as the top regular season team during the 1999-2000 campaign.
