Bulls, Collins deny report

Bulls general manager John Paxson and Doug Collins both denied multiple media reports Thursday that the club has picked Collins to be the team's next head coach, but both did acknowledge mutual interest in the former Bulls coach returning to Chicago.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported Thursday that an announcement naming Collins as coach was expected "sooner, rather than later," but details of the contract weren't known.

Paxson acknowledged Thursday that the two sides were talking but said nothing was imminent.
