 Mariners deal P Baek to Padres The Seattle Mariners traded pitcher Cha Seung Baek to the San Diego Padres for minor league pitcher Jared Wells on Wednesday. Baek was designated for assignment on May 21, giving the M's 10 days to trade, release, option or outright him to the minors. Baek was 0-1 with a 5.40 earned run average in 10 appearances, including one start, with Seattle this season. The Korean is 10-9 with a 4.96 ERA in 37 games, including 24 starts, for Seattle over parts of four seasons. Continued at My Sportsbook...
