Major League Baseball owners and players have ratified the sport's amended drug agreement.
Changes to the policy were announced last month in response to the Mitchell Report on performance-enhancing substances.
As part of the new deal, players named in the Mitchell Report will not face disciplinary action from the commissioner's office. The union will contribute $200,000 toward an antidrug charitable or research organization and has agreed to participate in programs aimed to educate youth on the dangers of performance-enhancing substances.
