Default clarification

I am a soccer novice so I want to make sure I understand the advice. Are you saying West Ham will win? What does the 3/4 mean?

On my book this would pay off 5:1.

The Ventura County Fusion of USL’s Premier Development League recently announced that Anton Peterlin, a defensive midfielder, has been offered a contract and is planning on signing with Everton in July when the English Premier League side heads to the US to begin their preseason training.

I saw this guy play last week. WOW!
