Default Netherlands vs. Italy Group C Euro 2008 Free Pick Preview

Euro Cup Betting 2008 - Group C Wagering - Netherlands vs. Italy

Italy is definitely one of the favorites in Euro 2008. They are the defending World Cup Champions, finished first in Group B Qualifying, and have one of the most feared front attacks in soccer with Alessandro Del Piero and Luca Toni forging ahead.

But they will be without their captain, Fabio Cannavaro, and they haven’t won this tournament since 1968. Those aren’t good signs for the Italians.

The Netherlands has always been a good team. They always seem to be right there in every tournament, every time a tournament is played, but the problem with the Netherlands is that they never get over the hump. They just can’t close the deal. I’m not sure why. I have to admit that as a BetUS online soccer betting fan, I’ve lost more money on the Netherlands in international play then any other team I can think of.

Here are the BetUS sports betting odds for this match:

Netherlands pk + 115 + 200 O 2 - 125
Italy pk - 135 + 140 U 2 + 105
Draw + 200

Netherlands + ½ - 175
Italy - ½ + 155

Yep. I know I just wrote that the Netherlands has burned more of my online bankroll then any other team in international play, but I can’t help myself. Looking at the odds above, I have to go with the Netherlands again.

Italy will be without their captain. They’ve only won this tournament once in their history and the Netherlands - - well, the Netherlands are the Netherlands. Maybe, I should just admit that I sort of bet this team blindly.

Eventually, they’re going to win a major tournament. Why not this year? Why not start with a win over the favored Italians?

I’ll be putting a few dollars on the Netherlands to beat the Italians at the online betting odds of + 200.

Default The Netherlands vs Italy 3 - 0

Italy experienced a walkover. Was very nice to see how Italy got spanky from the dutch.
I hope you kept your word on betting for the Netherlands, keep on doing it, it wil bring you good fortune.
They have suprised everyone and they will keep on doing it.

Next challenge: France (finalist WC and former world champion).

Not bad for a team not playing with true wingers the way the love to play. No Van Persie, no Robben, no Babel (though he probably wouldnt have started). De Jong and Engelaar looking pretty good too....it was an impressive win for the Orange! Hup Holland Hup
