Online football betting markets at BetUS Sportsbook are currently offering soccer odds on the Group stages of the UEFA Euro Cup. This month at BetUS Sportsbook, soccer betting takes you front-and-centre, with soccer gambling on the most prestigious championship in European soccer – 2008 European Cup. So what lies ahead for the sports betting faithful at BetUS is an exciting early summer of football betting. Football betting always a popular pastime – why not bet on the UEFA Euro Cup to get you warmed up for the upcoming NFL season. To help you get started, here is a daily instalment of BetUS winning soccer predictions, insider tips, and high quality analysis to help you beat the bookie throughout the fun-filled three-weeks of UEFA Euro Cup championships. Group B: Germany vs. Poland Match Time: 02:45 PM Eastern Time, Sunday June 8, 2008 Venue: Wörthersee, KLAGENFURT, Austria Soccer Betting Lines: Team: Germany -1 -120 Money Line: -195 Total Points: Over 2½ -125 Team: Poland +1 EV Money Line: +610 Total Points: Under 2½ +105 Draw +275 Spread Odds: Germany -½ -185 Poland +½ +165 Analysis: Poland will try to attempt a first in this matchup – beating a German side they have never defeated in eleven losses and four draws. Germany, of course, will have other ideas and try to improve on their mark against their neighbours. So what do the odds say? They seem to be overwhelmingly favouring the mighty Germans. I don’t know anyone that would be surprised? Do you? Across the board this matchup is unanimously straightforward, bookies are of one mind: Germany will win, Poland hasn’t got a prayer – at +650 underdog odds on the money line they are huge long shots! Betting Verdict: Poland’s history on the international stage is akin to a mental train wreck. Their most recent unravelling on the big stage came at the 2006 FIFA World Cup where they were eliminated at the first stage of the finals following 2-0 and 1-0 defeats in group games against Ecuador and Germany respectively before a 2-1 triumph against Costa Rica. In the run up to the qualifying for the finals, Poland broke new ground as winners of Group A with a record of eight wins, four draws and two defeats from 14 matches. They qualified with a game to spare by beating Belgium 2-0 in Chorzow on 17 November through two Smolarek goals. Although their qualifying success is encouraging, the international arena is an entirely different beast. Unfortunately for them they meet Germany in their opener, and the experience of the Germans at this level goes a long way in their favour. Soccer Free Picks: At best, I see Poland, who insists it is an entirely different team than the one we saw two years ago at the World Cup, trying to play for the draw. Betting on the draw may prove to be the winning play should they get away with it. So take the draw at +275. On the other hand, Germany will surely have other ideas, and generosity not one of them – they will play for the win. This is Coach Low’s debut and nothing short of a victory would constitute a successful Euro Cup campaign opening. So I like Germany for the win on the money line best @ -175 and Germany covering the spread @ -½ -185.
