The news this year got a little boring, rather fast. One team is paying so many millions to acquire a certain player. Add in names and repeat throughout the league. Musical chairs, played with people.

Whatever happened to growing talent within your junior teams, or even, shock horror, your own country?

Then they whine when the regulators order players to return to their own country for the Olympics, meaning they will miss out on the UEFA cup games. Well you know, if you hadn't searched so hard to ignore the obvious talent in your own country, you might not be in this situation in the first place.

The man has a point you all. It has been pretty dry and dull this year expect for the Bret Favre drama in football. maybe they are getting hit like everyone else is with the economic crisis which is a lot worse than anyone wants to admit.

You wouldn't think about the economy hitting soccer players, when they are making hundreds of thousands of dollars (or pounds sterling) every week. Some of those guys make indecent sums-I know who I would go to for a loan.
