Default Sports In The US Shoved In Our Faces

I have some smack talk for ya! (Of course it's a matter of opininon)

In the US, there's two.

The WNBA and soccer.

The WNBA is as entertaining as watching C-span. People want to go out of their way to make sure no race/gender is left out. Enter women's basketball. There's 2 things I get a kick out of tho. The "thug" players who try to emulate Allen Iverson with their tats and the way they carry themselves. I also love watching Sportscenter when the girls try to dunk and fail. Back to eating bon bons and watching Days Of Our Lives! And don't forget to pack lunches for the kids before you drop them off at school!!! (Ok, maybe that's a little harsh but you get the point!)

Then theres soccer (football or futbol to those outside the US). Don't get me wrong, you have to be quite an athlete to play, but you also have to be quite an actor to boot with all the diving and flopping that they do. That team in LA signs Beckham to spur interest, but the MLS doesn't realize people are too busy watching the REAL football.

Bring the heat!

Oh yea, well I can top that one. How about wrestling. This godawful stuff is just about as entertaining to watch as a double coat of latex. Could they not at least give these muscle bound idiots some acting lessons before letting them loose on the screen?

Wrestling is horrible, just horrible. Does anyone beleive this stuff is real? If you ever go to see wrestling live you can see that it is fake even easier than you can on television.

Actually, when I was a kid, wrestling was cool to me. That was back in the old days of it though. Now, there seems to be barely any wrestling, as they spend more time in interviews and backstage drama and such.

I guess If I looked back on the old days of wrestling today it was probably just as corny, but I remember there being more wrestling in the days of Hulk Hogan, Ricky The Dragon Steamboat, King Kong Bundy, Andre The Giant, The Killer Bees, Rowdy Roddy Piper, etc.

I can't believe the things they do nowadays in what they call "sports entertainment"

Ha! I totally love that too. I have seen some nasty fails take place and its all just a ton of hype. I am not even sure acting would help some of those lost souls. Can anyone say they are on the failboat?

I cannot stand to watch wrestling either. It's not real, and I don't know anybody who takes it all that seriously. Is it really fair to even consider it a sport since it's all planned out anyway? I think it's ridiculous.

Oh, no. Oh, I can't believe it. You're telling me that you're going to look Stone Cold in the face and tell him that it's all a ruse? That it's fake? That it's not real? What's the matter, missing the days of Andy Kaufman wrestling the ladies on late night TV?

Anyway, all sports have their drama. For WWE, it's just scripted and on the cameras. For A-Rod and Kobe and Michael Vick, it's all over the evening news. So which do you prefer?

Soccer isn't just drama-they enjoy it too much! You see some of those guys down-now don't get wrong there have been some nasty injuries I've seen. Legs broken and bent through 90 degrees whilst the guy was still standing up! But yeah most of the time its all for show.

But if you want a real sport, its rugby. None of this poof patting whilst covered in so much padding that the guys can't feel it anyway..... *ducks to avoid the flying boots*

Rugby=Football for real men

Im sorry but to me there is a different between a choreographed skit and real hard core fighting (like maybe something along the lines of UFC).
