The subject of gambling online has been a contentious one at best. Gambling has been around for hundreds of years. You may not agree with it, in fact many people are fanatical about the problems with gambling. The US shutdown online wagering with the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006. Of course this was a fine example of double standards. You can still enter the office Superbowl square. You can lose your inheritance by buying stocks that crash, you can buy houses that 6 month later are not worth the paper you signed, but you cannot play Poker online for a dime! It was with some eagerness that the Bush government pushed through legislation prohibiting online gambling. Of course, one would assume that if it is banned online, it would be banned offline, or more simply put, in real life. Clearly that has not happened, Las Vegas and Atlantic City continue unabated. Not to mention the ‘First Nation’ (thats the politically correct term, I think), without gambling and booze they would have little or no revenue. Read more of this online gambling article here...
