This is the week that many people in the US and all involved in the online gambling industry have been waiting for. Representative Barney Frank is expected to unveil his plan to overturn the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act.

The law was put in place as a last minute addition to a port security Bill, and Frank almost immediately pointed out the ill advised law. He has tried once before to have it overturned, but the then-Republican led Congress quickly thwarted his efforts.

This time around there are several things that have changed in the US that could lead to lawmakers climbing on board with Frank. One is the change to a Democratic powered Congress. The other is the economy.
