The previous administration in the US had become so preoccupied with the notion that they had to make online gambling illegal, that they missed one extremely important issue. People in the US are gambling online in record numbers and the country is in need of online gambling awareness.

"Problem gambling is becoming a major issue in the US. If the new administration does not do something to raise awareness levels, millions of people could fall into a dangerous trap," said observer Lamar Triscle.

The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) was put in place back in late 2006 and was aimed at eliminating online gambling in the US. Since then, the amount of online gamblers has almost doubled. Casinos are being launched almost every month, and more people are enjoying gambling online.
