Bet the Oscars on Sunday at betED.com

With dramatic finishes and a huge world-wide TV audience, the Academy Awards are like the Super Bowl of the entertainment industry. And Oscar Betting has become almost as popular as betting on Super Sunday.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is next at +300, followed by Milk at +800, Frost/Nixon and The Reader, both at +1000.

Mickey Rourke, whose performance in The Wrestler has earned him critical acclaim as well as other notable film awards this year, is the top pick to win the Best Actor Oscar at -210 odds.

Sean Penn isn’t far back at +100 odds for his portrayal of Harvey Milk, a gay California politician who was murdered in the 1970s, in Gus Van Sant’s biopic Milk.

Frank Langella is at +600 for Frost/Nixon while Brad Pitt (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) and Richard Jenkins (The Reader) are both at +900.

Kate Winslet, for The Reader, is the favorite to win the Best Actress Oscar, at -235 odds.

Anne Hathaway is at +175 for her performance in Rachel Getting Married. Meryl Streep is +300 for Doubt, and Melissa Leo, for Frozen River, and Angelina Jolie, for Changeling, are both +900.

The late Heath Ledger is the overwhelming favorite to win the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor, at -6500 odds, for his performance as The Joker in the latest Batman film, The Dark Knight.

Other nominees are Philip Seymour Hoffman (+1200), Josh Brolin and Michael Shannon (both +1400), and Robert Downey Jr. (+2500).

Penelope Cruz is the favorite to win Best Supporting Actress (-210), followed by Viola Davis (+250), Marisa Tomei (+300), Taraji P Henson (+800), and Amy Adams (+900).

Danny Boyle, for Slumdog Millionaire, is favored to win best Director at -1100, followed by David Fincher (+350), Ron Howard (+900), Gus Van Sant (+1100), and Stephen Daldry (+1400).

And one of the Oscar prop bets at betED.com include whether the Best Actress winner will cry when accepting the award: Yes -300; No +260.
