Representative Barney Frank has never been quiet about his opposition to the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. He was in the process of pushing Bill HR 2046, the Internet Gambling Regulation and Enforcement Act towards the end of the last legislative session.

Frank has now been quoted as saying that he will re-introduce the Bill in the next few weeks, although it will have to be in a different form since it was not resolved last session. That news is being welcomed in the online gambling community with open arms.

"Barney Frank has been fighting for what we believe would be right for the US, online gambling regulations, for a while now. Hopefully now he can get some of his good ideas passed with the balance of power shifting in Washington," said observer Harold Frankin.
