Screen Digest expects business to increase significantly by 2010

In a January 2008 report, quoting statistics from Screen Digest, the global market intelligence firm OSK Research said UK consumer spending for online gambling is expected to increase from GBP 600 million in 2006 to GBP 1.6 billion in 2010.

The study noted that the GBP 730 million market size for online casino gambling indicated a penetration rate of below 2 percent of the UK adult population, accounting for less than 7 percent of the UK’s total gross gambling yield.

Screen Digest numbers suggest that the number of active UK clients could grow from 1.1 million in 2006 to 2.1 million in 2010.
