| Keep Your Chin Up in Pot Limit Omaha "Bravery is being the only one who knows you're afraid." - Franklin P. Jones April 15, 2008 By Josh Arieh Bodog Nation Contributing Writer About two months ago, I really began working hard on figuring out the finer points of Pot Limit Omaha. That may sound stupid since I've been very successful at Omaha for a few years now, but the fact of the matter was that I wasn't getting everything out of the game that I should. I was tilting off lots of chips and couldn't understand why I wasn't winning every session I played. I came across someone who I thought was the best Omaha player I'd ever played with. He understood what I thought was every aspect of the game. I just knew he was going to become famous and be known worldwide as "the man" when it came to PLO. Unfortunately, one of those dreadful nights came about where he lost every 50-50 percent hand, every 65-35 percent hand and every hand where he was an underdog as well. The next day, I read a blog about how he is cashing out most of his online money and quitting high stakes Omaha until after he graduates. I really wish that I had thought to write this article before that night because maybe he would have come across it and changed his mind. I am going to try to explain what I mean by "keeping your chin up" when it comes to PLO. More... Last edited by Qbins Missile Crisis; 04-15-2008 at 04:53 PM. |
