Default NFL Odds: Miami Dolphins Betting Preview

NFL Draft Preview: Who Can Save the Dolphins?
The Dolphins have already started talking to a couple of top five picks, but which one is the perfect fit

Believe it or not, having the No. 1 pick in the draft has become somewhat of a burden for most teams in the NFL.

Unless a Peyton Manning remix is staring a team in the face on draft day, they're probably not getting a player much better than any of the other top 10 picks but will be forced to pay Manning money to sign him.

That's the situation the Miami Dolphins are in right now. There's no guaranteed superstar in the 2008 NFL draft, yet they hold on to the top pick.

They tried trading out of the top spot but found no biters. Rumor is they've even considered passing on the pick, but that idea won't see the light of day, unless they want to induce mass suicides by Dolphins fans worldwide.

The only option left was to open negotiations with several top prospects in order to find the player willing to sell low to be first on stage.

Talks with offensive tackle Jake Long and defensive end Vernon Gholston have already kicked off. And defensive end Chris Long and defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey could be in the mix soon enough.

But which pick is the perfect fit? Although there's no standout prospect, there must be one player who the Dolphins feel will fit their offensive and defensive schemes better than any other. Let's take a look at the top four prospects and draw our own conclusions.
