    Probably the toughest division to predict for the 2009 is the NFC South. I'm going to shock you though and I'm picking the New Orleans Saints to win this year. Just a hunch!

    NFL Futures Odds To Win NFC South

    New Orleans Saints +180
    Carolina Panthers +225
    Atlanta Falcons +230

    No shock there...if they get a smidge of defense and a healthy bush and they are 12-4.

    I like the Saints in the South as well. They have all the talent they need to win, they just need to get off to a good start so they aren't trying to catch up late in the season.

    The Falcons could be tough, but there will be a lot of pressure on Matt Ryan to do even more this year.

    Tampa Bay = NO QB
    Carolina = Too inconsistent
    New Orleans = Too underachieving, and too many malcontents (Shockey)

    Atlanta will once again win the NFC South, and that offense will be top 5 in the NFL.

    I just can't get a good read on Carolina. There is no reason the shouldn't be right back on top this season, but something tells me they take a big step backwards.

    Shockey is not enough to derail the Saints(who do you think he is, T.O?) and Sean Payton will have them playing with consistency. Should be a dog fight (sorry, Mike Vick) right down to the end between Atlanta and New Orleans, but I'm sticking with the Saints to win the South.

    I like the Saints. But will Reggie Bush stay healthy?

    Bush is not durable enough for the Saints to count on him on a regular basis. He needs to worked in and out of the line up to keep him fresh and dangerous.

    They are better with Brees airing the ball out as opposed to trying to keep it on the ground.

    At the book I use, Tampa's win total is 6.5. Is that not a gift?! No way they win seven games!

    Tampa did win 9 last year but completely fell apart down the stretch. I see this as definite rebuilding year for the Bucs winning 6 games at the most.

    Haven't checked out the schedule game by game but they are definitely the weakest team in a division which is pretty solid.
