If the real Chargers team shows up this season they should have this division wrapped up by week 12. If they struggle then this division could be won with an 8-8 record for the second season in a row.

One of the bloggers has the Raiders winning 7 games this year. I say no way.

With their division the Raiders can win 7 games. Except for Washington, they may get beat up by the NFC East, but there 6 more winnable games on their schedule.

That would be me. The Raiders have a more than fair chance at winning seven. Maybe 9.

Given the state of the competition it is hard to argue that SD will not win the division. Maybe the easiest division call out there.

This is a cheap price on the Chargers. Think about it, last year, Rivers had a knee injury he was recovering from, Antonio Gates was hurt and so was Shawne Merriman.

Now this team is healthy while everyone else is rebuilding - this should be a cake walk for them.

Amen brother Dave....sure the Chargers lost a couple pieces on their team but they also get Merriman back...and he counts for 2 players. If LT is even close to healthy they win this in a cake walk, but I don't think they'll win 11 games....10 max. Norv Turner will see to that...he always does

Just for fun though I'd throw $10 on the Raiders odds to win the AFC at +1000

If you want an AFC West Sleeper, don't go Raiders -- go Chiefs. They've got LJ, Bowe, Bradley on offense with Cassel possibly panning out.

In the end though, i think this is the easiest division in football betting to predict. Chargers in a cakewalk.

Both the AFC and the NFC are not the toughest divisions in the league but someone has to win them.

In the AFC there is no reason the Chargers do not have it locked up by week 10/11 as the rest of the teams aren't nearly as close. They just need to put last year behind them and come out firing right from the start.
