The Patriots are the overwhelming favorite for a good reason as they are clearly the best team in the AFC East. We'll find out if Miami is the real deal, or if last season was jsut a fluke. |

Go by the process of elimination: Bills can't do it - they are too weak on both lines of scrimmage Jets can't do it - their offense is too pedestrian Dolphins - have some potential, they actually have a better roster than last year but their schedule is impossible Patriots - best team in the business I think they are the easy pick here. |

Hard to argue with your logic Vegas....I like Miami to ruffle some feathers in the East this year though, not sure if its enough to put $ on it though....that wildcat should be a lot less surprising though don'tcha think?

Honestly, the Dolphins have improved their roster significantly. Jason Taylor is a nice addition, Vontae Davis looks NFL-ready, Jake Grove is a great pick up on the offensive line (which was already one of the best), Ronnie Brown has looked as good as ever, same with Ted Ginn Jr., Gibril Wilson was a steal...I want to say this team can win a Super Bowl within 2-4 years except we don't know much about their quarterbacking future. But look at this schedule: Sep 13 @Atlanta Sep 21 Indianapolis Sep 27 @San Diego Oct 4 Buffalo Oct 12 N.Y. Jets Week 6 BYE Oct 25 New Orleans Nov 1 @N.Y. Jets Nov 8 @New England Nov 15 Tampa Bay Nov 19 @Carolina Nov 29 @Buffalo Dec 6 New England Dec 13 @Jacksonville Dec 20 @Tennessee Dec 27 Houston Jan 3 Pittsburgh They could legitimately be 1-4 or more likely 2-3 at their BYE week. 3-2 would be a great start for them. Then they have a stretch of four road games in five weeks with @ NYJ, @ NE, TB, @ CAR, @ BUF. Then later they have @ JAC and @ TEN back-to-back. Good luck with that. This is a quality team but they can't weather that schedule. |

You've laid it out my man....I'm not sure they have what it takes to even win 7 with that schedule...but isn't predicting NFL games in July fun? Who knows the influence of the TUNA, and Tony Soprano's fire raising pre-game speeches? LOL

The thing about the pre season is that certain teams we think will be good, will stink and certain teams we think will stink, will be good. That is the beauty of the NFL Parity Plan where 20- 25 teams have a chance to go all the way. |

Man I think the Big Tuna got way too much of a bum rap on his way out of Dallas. He built a strong roster (which hasn't won yet sadly, come on Romo) and he poached a few of those players over to Miami, which has had a complete turnaround since Parcells' presence.

I think it's football betting suicide to pick anyone other than New England, but if I did, I'd go with Buffalo, simply because they have a higher ceiling, right? Owens/Evans is a scary WR tandem...

I still like Miami's chances the best to pull off the upset. They have a brutal schedule, but if Pennington can have another strong season and they find ways to utilize Pat White in the wildcat, they can make things interesting.
