To be honest I am an Ocho Cinco fan. He has fun playing the game and keeps it clean away from the field. If the NFL had just let him pull out the Jersey for a few games a year that probably would have been it.

I can't believe they were going to make him pay for the jersey inventory as stated in the article.

Not to be morbid but what if a star player wanted to change their number to salute a deceased relative. Would they make them do the same thing?

I think a player has a right to change his mane legally if he chooses to. However, is it not a bit over the edge when we have showboat athletes doing so adding to the distraction of the game. Dude, if you want to be Ocho Cinco stop playing foorball and go to Mexican wrestling.

When other athletes changed their name it was for a greater cause. Chad Ocho Cinco Johnson is all about self promotion. He is becoming a "legend in his own mind" in my book.
