The Arizona Cardinals granted running back Edgerrin James' wish to be released on Tuesday and cut two others who played significant roles in the team's run to the Super Bowl.

While James' move was anticipated, the release of cornerback Rod Hood and defensive end Travis LaBoy was not.

With Beanie Wells being drafted it was expected. Edge does not have even close to the same burst he had in Indy or when he first got to Zona.

Somewhat surprised on LaBoy. I thought he was fairly productive last year but I guess he wasn't living up to expectations.

No opinion on Hood.

Ya this was going to happen before the season started, at least Edge got to play in a superbowl, and he has a ring from the Colts (well they gave him one anyways....LOL)

Wonder where he ends up?? Miami? Jacksonville? I'd say he winds up down south somewhere, New Orleans maybe?
