    NFL 2009 NFL Schedule Thoughts

    1. Four teams - the Steelers, Colts, Cowboys, and Giants - got the maximum of five primetime games
    2. Indianapolis, Dallas, and the Giants were each allotted three Sunday night tilts, and Pittsburgh given two
    3. For a NON playoff team Dallas got hooked up with six BIG Audience games, 3 on Sunday (vs. N.Y. Giants, at Philadelphia, at Washington), 1 Monday (Carolina), one on Saturday late in the year (at New Orleans) plus Thanksgiving Day vs. Raiders. BRUTAL eh?
    4. Unless they get "flexed" over the last 7 wks of season the Lions ,Rams, Chiefs, Seahawks, Bengals, and the Bucs will have NO prime time games
    5. The Pats and Bucs will play in the third installment of the NFL's London Game Oct. 25th
    6. Dec 3 The Jets play the Bills in Toronto
    7. Thanksgiving Day games 2009 - Lions/Packers, Cowboys/Raiders, and Broncos/Giants
    8. According to the 2008 standings, the Minnesota Vikings have the easiest September schedule in the league
    9. The Giants and Seahawks play the only three-game road stretches in the NFL this season.
    10. Three teams will play their final two games at home (Browns, Cardinals, Dolphins), while the same number will play their last two on the road (Jaguars, Chiefs, Ravens).

At a quick glance the schedule looks pretty good to me. There are some great prime time divisional match ups especially in my favorite division, the NFC East.

Ray, my Eagles also have three Sunday night games, but only one Monday night appearence; a week 7 tilt at division foe, Washington.

One other thought, this schedule gives way too much love to the Cowboys in terms of national night games....who by the way will not make the playoffs this season either(you heard it here first)
