Reasons why Seattle cover the spread Sunday:

1.) Miami should not be a big favorite against any team in the league, even the Seattle Seahawks. The Dolphins have created many turnovers recently to allow them to win back-to-back games over the Bills and Broncos. But this is now the ideal spot for a letdown for the Dolphins when they host the Seahawks Sunday. Seattle knows that if they can find a way to win this game, they can make one final push at the playoffs with QB Matt Hasselbeck coming back next week. Backup QB Senaca Wallace does not turn the ball over, and the Dolphins feast on turnovers. Wallace will be much sharper Sunday now that he has a few starts under his belt.

2.) Seattle’s rush defense against Miami’s rush offense gives Seattle a great shot to win. Seattle gives up just 3.8 yards/carry this season while Miami is rushing for just 3.2 yards/carry at home. Holding the Wildcat offense and the Dolphins’ running game in check will be key for the Seahawks to keep it close. Seneca Wallace should have his best game of the season considering Miami allows 242 PYPG and a 60% completion percentage to their foes this season.

3.) System Play. We’ll Play Against - Home favorites of 3.5 to 10 points (MIAMI) - after a game where they forced 3 or more turnovers against opponent after 2 consecutive games with a turnover margin of +1 or better.
