The Eastern Conference finals are here. Boston, fresh off their Game 7 win against Cleveland, will face a rested Detroit Pistons squad to see who moves on to the championship. This series promises to be epic; the Locksmith gives us his take.
Eastern Conference Final Preview
Another Game 7 victory for Boston has put them one more step closer to their goal. But all cannot be well in Beantown. Ray Allen was nonexistent for the entire series, again. The Big Three are starting to look like the Big Two and sometimes only the Big One, excuse me, The Big Ticket. Not to mention it’s becoming a revolving door at the point guard position between Eddie House, Rajon Rondo and Sam Cassell. Rondo better grow up fast and Doc Rivers might want to try actually running a number of plays for Ray Allen, for Pete’s sake. Allen is too good of a player and shooter to stay this cold; part of the blame lies in the Celtics’ offense and their inability to get him open for looks. Let’s not forget that Boston is now also 0-6 on the road in the playoffs. Detroit promises to be a more formidable foe than both Cleveland and Atlanta were. But can anyone match the heart the Celtics have shown?
