Dallas was missing Dirk Nowitzki and it showed. But Houston was also missing Yao Ming and they looked better than ever as they routed the Mavericks 113-98.

Tracy McGrady led the way for the Rockets with 31 points and nine assists, while Raefer Alston blew up for 24 points, five rebounds and four assists. Rookie forward Carl Landry was a beast off the Rockets bench, scoring 17 points.

Nowitzki was sitting out after being suspended for a flagrant foul versus the Utah Jazz on Mar. 3, and the Mavs struggled without him. Josh Howard led the Mavs with 21 points while Jason Terry was the second leading scorer with 17.

The Rockets blewout the Mavericks despite being 1.5-point favorites in the contest.
