| Courtesy BodogBeat.com Tomorrow, the Seattle Supersonics could be voted out of the Pacific Northwest by the good people of Oklahoma City. The proposal to be decided by voters is whether or not to spend $97 million to upgrade the Ford Center and then another $24.6 million to build an NBA practice facility, all of which is designed to woo the Sonics. "It's sort of a make-or-break vote for us," mayor Mick Cornett said. "It's a vote on whether Oklahoma City wants to become a major-league city, like Kansas City, and I hope our voters will see the wisdom in voting for it." The Kansas City Star has more on the story. And if you think this is all complete horseshit for the city of Seattle, read "Fire David Stern" on Bodog Nation! Here's an excerpt: Despite what [NBA Commissioner David] Stern might say, there is absolutely no doubt that [Clay] Bennett bought the Sonics from Howard Schultz with the intention of moving the team to his home of Oklahoma City. In that city, Bennett is the chairman of the Professional Basketball Club LLC, the group that negotiated the relocation of the New Orleans Hornets after Hurricane Katrina and has deep roots in the upper echelons of the city's power elite.
