Kevin Garnett scored 21 points, on 7-of-8 shooting from the field, to lead the Boston Celtics in a 107-104 overtime victory against the Milwaukee Bucks at the Bradley Center.
Tony Allen poured in 17 points for the Celtics, who won their seventh contest in a row and have already clinched the top spot in the Eastern Conference. James Posey chipped in 16 points, while Paul Pierce and Leon Powe gave 14 each. Ray Allen had 11 points in victory.
Michael Redd scored 25 points for the Bucks, who have dropped three in a row. Andrew Bogut recorded his fifth double-double in a row with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Desmond Mason ended with 14 points, as Ramon Sessions and Bobby Simmons had 13 apiece. Royal Ivey contributed 12 points in defeat.
Guard Maurice Williams (abdominal strain) did not play for Milwaukee versus Boston. Williams is averaging 17.2 points and a team-best 6.3 assists in 66 games this season for the Bucks.
The overtime lead see-sawed until an Ivey three gave the Bucks a 104-102 lead with just under two minutes left in the extra frame.
Eddie House countered with a three of his own to put the Celtics up one, and a pair of Posey free throws sealed the deal with just under a minute left in the game.
