Odom agreed on a multiyear contract Thursday to stay with the Los Angeles Lakers. Is this a good deal for the Lakers or should they have traded for youth?
Matt Martz is a sportswriter for the Bakersfield Californian newspaper in Central California. "Blessed is the gambler who expects nothing, for ye shall not be disappointed."
For the short term this appears to be a good move as the Lakers are focused on repeating as NBA Champions.
