NBA Finals: Lakers vs Magic

The finals are set as the Lakers will face the Magic for the 2009 NBA Title. Can Kobe make up for last years loss to the Lakers, or does Orlando continue their incredible run to a championship?

The Magic got clobbered last night in game one. Kobe had 40 points. If Orlando wants to make a series of this they need to take game two in LA and keep Kobe to under 18pts PG

Ouch, that was some spanking Orlando took in game one.

They are going to have to stop reading about themselves in the paper and play the way they are capable of or the Lakers are going to cruise in this series.

The question that I have is, will this still be the series to watch or will most just turn away now and just "check in". Looks like the NHL playoffs might have the advantage for viewership this year as the Stanley Cup Finals are unfolding with some excitment.

If the rest of the games go like game 1 it will be a 4 game series with low TV ratings. I just can't believe that the NHL Finals aren't on a major network. It's a shame because these game are far more exciting than the NBA.

I think the Magic will have a better showing in Game 2 and beat the spread but still lose a close one...

You have to think that Orlando will put forth a better effort in game two than they did in game one. I agree, take the Magic to cover, but I'm not sure they can win.
