MLB Baseball Wagering Action – Houston at San Francisco
The San Francisco Giants, (17-23, 22-18 RL) have struggled since the start of the 2008 MLB sports betting regular season, but have won three of their last four games in the BetUS Sportsbook, including a solid 4-2 win over the Houston Astros, (22-18, 26-14 RL) on Tuesday.
Houston however, has still managed to win eight of their last ten games and suffered their first loss in almost a week after winning four consecutive online betting games prior to last night’s loss.
"We kind of fell all over the place tonight," Astros manager Cecil Cooper said. "We didn't have an error, but we didn't make the plays we should have."
The Astros will try to bounce back tonight by turning to young starter Brian Moehler (1-0, 4.26 ERA), who is coming off his best performance of the season as he shut out the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday, tossing five scoreless innings and allowing just five hits in Houston’s 7-1 win.
"I wasn't concerned about my pitch count. I just wanted to see how deep I could get into the game because I didn't want to tax our bullpen," Moehler said. "I was just trying to keep the ball down, pitch to contact and let our defense make the plays behind me. Obviously I'm getting a little stiff, but I felt fine physically."
