    The Cards where smart resigning Matt Holliday and even smarter picking up free agent pitcher Brad Penny. If Penny can perform like he used to, St. Louis may have a solid rotation. However, the Cards bullpen might not be strong enough come playoff time.
    Despite that, I like the Red Birds to win the NL Central with aroud 88-90.

    Cards are definitely the team to beat as long as Carpenter stays healthy. I don't like their bullpen but they are the most complete team in the Central.

    not getting a whole lotts love from the oddsmakers - i wonder if they have inside knowledge on Pujols getting busted for roids this year. It's bound to happen isn't it?
