Contract talks with Mauer are stalling and there are whispers that Mauer is slow to sign an extension even though the Twins are willing to break the bank to keep him – something the Twins have never been known to do.

If Mauer won’t sign, could the Twins consider moving him soon?

The Twins are cheap but they are not stupid. Mauer has won 3 straight batting titles and is one of the best position players in the game. No amount of draft picks could replace Mauer. Please, for the love of God, don't go to the Yanks or Sox.

After signing Denard Span to a five-year, $16.5 million contract extension,. I say the Twins are running out of the kind of money Mauer wants. I say they part ways.
