Penny pitched enough innings to bring home a pretty good win. He was + 125 giving up 1 ½ runs to Barry Zito and the San Francisco Giants. What was really impressive was the run support. Penny got 5 runs from the Dodger bats. That’s pretty good considering that these Dodgers were considered a not so great offensive team last year. The Giants are still searching for their first run of the season. Will they get it against the second starter in Joe Torre’s rotation - - Derek Lowe? The Giants send Matt Cain to the mound.
