Bam Bam is Back
I know there is no betting angle here but I just read that the SF Giants just made Hensley Meulens (Bam Bam) their hitting coach. Dude batted only .220 in his brief major league career. Wasn't there anybody better out there? Is this really going to improve this lineup? Whose next Buddy Biancalana?

Interesting. I'm also surprised about McGwire getting named St. Louis' hitting coach. Career .263 hitter. What's he gonna teach? How to swing for the fences, juice up and strike out?
At least Big Mac had a career. I wouldn't have pegged him for a hitting coach either but if he tells you it is a good idea to hit it over the fence he can speak from experience.
I could all day making a list of guys with more credibility than Bam-Bam
