The Nats 3rd baseman has hit in 25 straight games.
Can he challenge the 56 game streak Dimaggio put up back in 1941? I hope he can as it would be fun to watch.

56 is a long streak. If i was betting I'd say no.
I don't think he will get to 57...I don't think anybody ever will. Too much pressure once you get into the late 30's early 40's. Especially in this day and age with internet coverage on top of all the TV coverage.
It will be fun to watch him try though. Too bad he plays for Washington. Probably good for their revenues though as it will draw more fans to the ballpark.
I agree that if it goes into 30+ game it could be fun and good for basball all together. Something other than the recent sterios scandals.
Hit streak extended to 26 games with a single of Yusmeiro Petit in the 1st inning.
We're going to look back on this later in the year and be very very very impressed
Confusious Say
Man who fight with wife all day, get no piece at night.
Extended to 27 games with a solo HR in the 8th inning

Now at 28 with a single in the first inning
I say he doesn't get past 30 or 31 games. He started the streak in obscurity since the Nats are so bad, but the media have picked up on it now and they'll start circling him. He may crack.
He gets to 29 with a first inning single off of Randy Johnson. The pressures builds staring 30 games in the face. Stuff like this is great for baseball, especially early in the season.
