As any baseball hitting streak other than DiMaggio's gone 40 games? There are a handful of guys who got into the 30s but I can't name any 40-game plus guys besides Joe.

Now the streak is at 30. Singled in the 1st. One thing is, Zimm is not having to put up with the suspense and anticipation. He is getting his hits in his first or second AB every night.

0-3 with 2 walks. One intentional. This streak was good for Washington. It brought some much needed attention to the club and will hopefully result in more fans going to the games throughout the year.

You wish it could have went longer, as it was a great early season story(something other than A-Rod and Manny).
