Give me your thoughts on the following.

Based on the first 25 games or so of the year who will be leading the league in these statistical categories come the end of the year in your opinion.

    Offense

    Batting avg.
    HR's
    Stolen bases
    RBI's

    Defense/Pitching

You could always break this up by league, but Albert Pujols is always a safe bet for batting average. Miguel Cabera is adjusting nicely to the American League and could compete for the crown too.

Runs and hits -- I think Kinsler and Markakis will battle for those two titles all season.

RBI -- Evan Longoria sure has started beautifully but watch out for Adrian Gonzalez in the NL.

SB -- Carl Crawford has a huge head start and seems determined to prove he's healthy.

Home runs -- Pujols will do it again and I like Carlos Quentin if he plays all year.

pitching wise, it's hard to see Greinke losing ERA after this start. I like Billingsley in the NL to battle to wire with Santana and Lincecum for all the major categories...

    My gold glovers:

    C- Russell Martin
    1B - Adrian Gonzalez
    2B - Brandon Phillips
3B - Evan Longoria? Looks like it so far...nevermind -- Mike Loweel.
    OF - Shane Victorino
    OF - Ichiro
    OF - Torii Hunter

I know I didn't follow leagues there, but those are my overall picks...

Oh, forgot shortstop -- Hmm....Jimmy Rollins. I still respect Omar Vizquel too, hahaha.

    My take's are

    HR: Pujols
    RBI: Longoria
    AVG: Cabrera
    SB: Crawford

    ERA: Santana
    K's: Heran
    Wins: Halladay
    SV: Rodriguez

Gold Gloves - I'll get back to you too early to tell

On the pitching side I gotta go with Halladay to lead in wins. I know I am being a bit of a Jays homer here but if they stay in the top half in the AL in runs his record could be something like 24-6.

I'm a Toronto guy too but I still can't buy into Hill...I need to see him do it for a full year. Am I a terrible person?
