    Default Kansas City Rotation

Hear me out fella's. None of you probably care but I wanted to throw this out there anyway.

I like the job Dayton Moore and Trey Hillman are doing with the Royals, but the pitching rotation baffles me. More specific, Sidney Ponson baffles me. This dude sucks every time out. KC has a young potential stud in Triple-A that is smoking right now. Look at the stats below.

    Sidney Ponson in 2009
    5 GS - (0-4) - Team record (0-5) - 7.16 ERA, 27.2 IP

Luke Hochevar in Triple A, 2009
    5 GS - (5-0) - Team record (5-0) - 1.13 ERA, 32 IP

Hochevar was in the rotation in 2008. He didn't fare all that well but he is young and could use the experience. Also, he would at least give KC a shot when he is on the hill. Here are his 2008 numbers.

    22GS (6-12) 5.51 ERA 129 IP

Hillman suggested that Ponson will get at least one more chance to turn things around. I think if he doesn't turn it around its back to the FARM!

Hochevar is an inevitability. I don't care how well Ponson pitches there is no point in leaving in the rotation and this guy in the farm too much longer.

Yeah, KC has nothing to lose trying Hochevar if Ponson is a guaranteed loss every time out anyway. Come to think of it, I'm AMAZED Ponson still has a job. Why do people keep giving this guy chances?

OK...maybe I was wrong. Ponson looked good in his last outing.

Hochevar was called up and pitched against Oakland tonight.
