NY Mets open up Citi Field

Opening up the new stadium tonight. Mike Pelfrey on the mound. 3rd pitch of the game he gives up a bomb. Got out of trouble in the first...Padres up 1-0 top of 2nd.

Padres now up 4-1 in the top of the 5th.

Pelfrey looks rusty ans Walter Siva from SD is very sharp.

Beltran hit a bullet to center that didn't go out. Citi plays quite a bit bigger than Shea did.

Padres win the opener 6-5. I wish I knew how Citi Field would play before the season. Could have taken advantage of some of the UNDER HR totals. This park plays very big...good for overall hits but bad for HR's.

I was sooooo close to pulling the trigger on the Mets winning by 1.5 tonight...glad I didn't now...I went with Boston instead....ML...oh geez...down 5-1, soo much better eh? LOL
