    Default Yanks Finally Win

The Yankees grabbed their first win of 2009 in dominating fashion by crushing Baltimore, 11-2, in the finale of a three- game set.

The Yankees will travel to Kansas City and Tampa Bay for a pair of three-game sets before opening up their new stadium next Thursday

The Yanks started off slow with 2 dissappointing performances by Sabathia and Wang.

They are in KC on Friday-Sunday. I will probably be in attendance on Sunday. I believe Sabathia and Meche should matchup against one another but I could be wrong.

Matchup is Chamberlain vs. Meche. Royals up 3-1 in the 4th. I didn't go because it is a couple hour drive and I thought it might get rained out.

Solid comeback by the Royals...that cost me $250

Why the hell does a team with approx 200 mil payroll bring in a guy named Phil Coke to close out a game??? CYA in the minors Coke!

Get used to it Home. All the Payroll and new stadium will get them a "chance" at the wild card.

I really think the Yanks are going to wind up being so-so this year for the following reasons

1 - AROD on DL. Probably won't be health until August in my opinion
2 - Aging stars: Jeter, Matsui, Damon, Posada
3 - Record of pitchers that come to NY (sorry CC...the odds are against ya)
4 - AJ Burnett is a fraud (also see above)

The only move they made that should workout was signing Tex. Sorry Bleacher creatures it could be a long year.
